On July 26, 2007, Perfect World got listed on the U.S. NASDAQ stock market through an initial public offering under the ticker symbol “PWRD”, and became one of the most eye-catching listed companies among the global game companies that year.

With an differentiating advantage of our core technologies such as engine development, 3D modeling and rendering techniques, we developed a number of online games including “Perfect World”, “Legend of Martial Arts”, “Pocketpet Journey West”, “Battle of the Immortals”, “Fantasy Zhu Xian”, “Forsaken World”, “Dragon Excalibur”, “Empire of the Immortals” and “Heaven Sword and Dragon Saber”, using our proprietary game engines including Angelica, Cube, Raider and EPARCH.

To date, we have successfully built up our own operating platform overseas and established our wholly-owned subsidiaries in North America, Europe and Japan to leading game operators in a number of countries and regions in Asia, Latin America, Australia, New Zealand and the Russian Federation and other Russian speaking territories, providing high-quality entertainment services to internet users worldwide.

Many celebrities were invited to promotional activities and programs for our games, such as Shui Mu Nian Hua and Crystal Liu for “Perfect World”. JJ Lin for “Perfect World II”, Richie Jen and Jue Zhou for “Zhu Xian”, Jimmy Lin for “Pocketpet Journey West”, Louis Liu for “Battle of the Immortals”, Hu Ge, Jason Zhang and Nana Xie for “Fantasy Zhu Xian”, and Richie Jen for “Forsaken World”. In 2011, for the fifth consecutive year, Perfect World remains number one among the Chinese online gaming companies in the overseas markets, accounting for almost 40% of China’s online game exports and successfully exporting our games to more than a hundred countries and regions worldwide.

In April 2008, Perfect World established our wholly-owned U.S. subsidiary, Perfect World Entertainment, Inc. In early 2010, we established our wholly-owned Europe subsidiary; in April 2010, we acquired C&C Media Co., Ltd. in Japan; and in May 2010, we acquired the majority stake of Runic Games, Inc., a leading U.S.–based R&D studio. In August 2011, Perfect World acquired 100% equity in Cryptic Studios, a reputable online game company based in the U.S.

Today, globalization remains one of Perfect World’s key strategies and the company continues to grow our presence overseas.
